Dear all,
As we progress through our pre-seed phase, we’re happy to share our first end of Q2-2025 development and operational updates.
We continue to see evidence of the intersection of the human and digital realms growing in significance. Advancements in AI show owning, connecting and monetizing authentic data will critically change our future social economic fabric.
Advancements in the arena of data pipelines are being developed to optimize AI development and product differentiation. Developments such as the Model Context Protocol (MCP) establish open methods for AI models to connect with outside data sources.
In the Netherlands national headlines are plastered with ‘big tech is training on you’. The conditions for a global userbase to awaken, and business models to develop around owning your data are ripening – a good sign signal for decentralized self-sovereign infrastructure such as Cardano.
Moments continues to work closely with companies and initiatives that share our ethos of pushing digital value back to creators. We thank GameChanger, ARP radio, M2 Tech, spawning, Cardano girls and more great teams for their collaboration!
Thank you for your continued interest and support of Moments, the decentralized social media platform empowering the creator economy.
Development Highlights
This past quarter the team focused on enhancing user experience, platform performance, and creator tools to drive engagement and retention. Key updates include:
- Moment minting set to ~2.5 Ada. The lack of Tx costs is expected to support cNFT community given the unique policy ID per mint and placement in the Moments timeline gives exposure and monetization possibilities (e.g. JPG store sales).
- GameChanger Burner wallet for temporary new users, allowing non-crypto users to be onboarded with a temporary wallet within 45 seconds.
- MV Notifications are live for create, follow, like and comment. Notifications are linked to the wallet a user is logged in.
- Moments alongside ARP radio, have decided to step away from the CIP-30 connector, instead opting for a GC friendly connector that uses 0auth to mitigate spoofing risk.
- Moments can now be created by uploaded content, links to external websites or purely text posts, giving users additional flexibility to share content.
- Update to the HaveIBeenTrained service to include more user data opted out of AI, the IPFS CID is included.
- Post Analytics Dashboard: users can now track post views and estimated ad-revenue generated per post, providing creators with actionable metrics to connect data to value.
- Archives post count to prepare for improved UX to find active community archives and incentivized activity.
- Mobile Optimization with an iOS focus: Enhanced performance for headers, timelines, and panels on mobile, with placards now linking directly to post pages for seamless navigation.
- User Experience Improvements: User sessions are stored for 10 days, improving login convenience. Added minimal Markdown support for comments, enabling richer creator-user interactions. Implemented comment caching for faster load times. Introduced loading skeletons on post pages for a smoother visual experience.
- Metadata & SEO: Improved metadata across the site to boost discoverability and user acquisition.
- Minor Enhancements: UI tweaks for comments, bug fixes, code refactoring, and added a GC-return URL for the minting script to streamline creator monetization workflows.
These updates align with our goal of creating a robust, creator-centric platform that prioritizes usability, performance, and monetization opportunities.
Operational & Strategic Progress
- User Metrics: We’re tracking early user engagement KPIs, including Monthly Active Users (MAU) and content creation rates, with analytics now integrated to monitor post-performance.
- Cost Efficiency: Development funds are being allocated efficiently, with a focus on high-impact features like mobile optimization and creator tools, ensuring a lean burn rate.
- Onboarding remains a critical aspect for improvement; we are working together with content and UX professionals to improve the first 60 seconds on Moments.
- dApp connection UX/UI and minting flow need improvement. Although we have made significant steps in onboarding new users, more must be done. Additionally, CIP-30 wallet connector and minting flows must be serviced and improved with GC.
- In Q3 we plan to roll out a new advertising campaign aimed at starting and small-time content creators looking to protect their style from AI training and explore monetization options.
Q2 beta go to market
The last quarter we had a great collaboration with the Cattle Daddy media and the Cardano girls for initial exposure of the beta-platform. Strategic insights were gained to help steer further development and marketing approaches:
- A need for content that bridges users to engage and understand our brand.
- Improved onboarding that highlights differentiators of Moments to new users.
- Consistency in messaging.

Looking Ahead
We remain focused on delivering value to creators and users while maintaining fiscal discipline. We may submit a project catalyst proposal in our endeavours to bring the Creator economy to Cardano as we have built a full working beta without external funding.
We’re excited about the platform’s progress and are preparing for key milestones in MAU and another marketing push for the expanded beta in Q3 2025.
